The role

• conducting tests to check cables and locate faults

- Ability to work outdoors and underground
- Driver's licence

Underground Cable Jointers often come from a career:
- in the construction, resources or defence sectors
- as an electrician or electrical supply worker.
Minimum requirements
Underground Cable Jointers are generally required to have:
- UET30821 - Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Underground
- an electrical jointer licence.
Depending on the job role, a construction industry white card and Safely Access the Rail Corridor may also be required.
